Access Products: Log in to CaptainBiz and navigate to "Product/Service" -> "Product". Add New Product: Click "New Product" and enter product details like name, price, and GST rate. Generate or Enter Barcode:
- Click "Generate Barcode" for a unique 13-digit code.
- Alternatively, create a custom barcode (numbers & alphabets only, up to 13 characters).
- Choose your printer, select label size and quantity, and click "Print" for physical labels.
- Click "Download PDF" to save a digital copy.
Creating Barcodes for New Products Using CaptainBiz
- Locate Product: Open the product list and select the desired product.
- Access Barcode Tab: Navigate to the "Barcode" tab within the product details.
- Generate or Enter Barcode: Follow steps 3a or 3b from the "Creating Barcodes for New Products" section.
Adding Barcodes to Existing Products
Download Template: Click "Excel Import" to download the barcode template. Fill the Template: Enter the 13-digit barcode values for your products in the designated "Barcode" column. Save the updated file. Upload and Confirm Import:
- Click "Excel Import" and choose the modified Excel file.
- Review any errors (marked under the "Error" column), correct them in the Excel sheet, and re-upload for confirmation.
- Click "Confirm" to initiate the import process.
Importing Barcodes from Excel
Create Invoice: When creating a new sales invoice, navigate to the "Product" section. Enter Barcode:
- Manually enter the product's barcode.
- Use your barcode scanner gun to scan the product. The system will automatically populate the product information once the barcode is scanned.
